Martina Uthardt

Martina Uthardt is an artist based in Ostrobothnia, whose abstract paintings reflect the changing nature and tranquillity of the mind. After a ten-year hiatus, she returned to painting with renewed energy and a deep focus on intuitive creation. Using acrylic as her main medium, she works in layers of colour and texture to capture the rhythm, light and movement of nature – not as it looks, but as it feels. For her, creation is a form of meditation and balance, where each work carries a desire to convey joy, calm and hope. Uthardt has participated in numerous exhibitions both internationally and within Finland.
